Sam`s Italian Sandwich Shoppe in Freeport

Great place for a quick bite. I had a sub that was made exactly as I ordered it. Seems simple but we know it's not always that easy.

It's generally a comfortable place to dine. Staff aren't all that friendly or attentive. Food is okay, but I can find higher quality food for the same price plenty of other places.

The sevice and the food was awesome. Really clean and family friendly. My #1 choice for quick when in Freeport.

Its the weekend and I call an hour and a half before they close and the spaghetti pot is off? Its dinner time and they won’t have spaghetti. It seems to me like they are trying to leave early. Very disappointed

Rude when I called in my order, my simple Italian sub was awful, I asked for hot peppers -none, I picked up my order 12 minutes after I called it in and the bread was already soggy, my fries were over cooked for the couple of ketchup packets thrown in the bag -gross , will never EVER order there again, to top it all off -OVER PRICED , I don't mind paying for quality food but that was nasty, sorry.

Everytime we are in town we always stop at Sams!! Quick bite is always good

tables are nasty. floor have trash on floors and nobody trying to clean the the place

I was born and raised in Maine. Sam's has always had Great Subs. Wish we had subs like this in Illinois!

Stopped here after visiting L.L. Bean. I like Italian food so I'm not difficult to please. My wife and I ordered eggplant grinders and were not disappointed. Prepared to perfection with a reasonable price. Also had some ginger bear and it was terrific. Clean establishment, fast service, and good employees.

Got two sandwiches and was very underwhelmed. I got what they call a triple Italian substandard meat bread was not very good. My wife ordered a meatball parmesanso we shared and we each had half of each other's sandwich. I was looking forward to the meatball sandwich because the place was called Sam's Italian foods but the meatball sandwich tasted like frozen meatballs from supermarket. The staff was friendly but it took 15 minutes to make two sandwiches.

Good eats with an at-home feel. Not fast food, but quick. I watched the staff show attention to details, as the quality is always great. Egg plant parm is a sure thing.

The store treats me very well, and the service is excellent. Job well done. Bob the manager is an awesome asset to the company, he deserves a raise, as does his coe workers. Thanks to a great meal. I will be back

When we walked in it was a little before 5:00pm on Saturday and the place was dead. We walked up to the counter and tried to place our order but for some reason there were 2 boys on the register and BOTH of them were being very rude to us. I have dietary restrictions and I was politely asking questions about their menu, the older of the 2 boys was trying his best to belittle me for some reason and the other was blanatly staring at my girlfriend's bits. Food was garbage, service was worse. Duck this place. Never again.

This place is really good. I am very picky with my tuna, but this is the best homemade tuna. I recommend this place with multiple people who want to sit down and eat. This place has a lot of choices and they are all so good. When you want to sit down to eat they serve you food and if you want to get it to go you have to wait for your number to be called.

Great sandwich today. Chicken noodle soup was sub par...not as good as Campbell's canned....hopefully just a bad batch.

The prices have gone way up and the food is nowhere as good as it used to be.

We must have been on a bad night. The chairs were still on the tables like they were closing or never quite opened. The food came out as far apart from each other as it could have possibly been . We hadn't been in a long long time and i made the mistake of really talking it up to the people we went with. I felt like a real knob. To cap it off my Alfredo was really bad.

Consistency is key...and that's what Sam's is all about. Crushed that pizza!

Always a good quick stop to eat when we are near Freeport.

very friendly! but scant on the meat in the Italians... Maybe other menu items are better?

Moe's ham Italian was 10x better. Service is good but food needs work.

This place has a nice, local atmosphere and great food. Perfect to bookend a long day of shopping in the L.L. Beans area. I recommend it!

Just ordered here for the first time. Bob was very helpful on the phone recommending different things on the menu. I ended up ordering the meat calzone and it was delicious. The staff were all very helpful when I went in for pickup and the order only took about 10 minutes. I will be back for sure!

Good food, whoopie pies (I've never had before) were very good...very sweet though.

Sam's bread makes for excellent Italians. The service is always quick and the staff is very friendly. I highly reco.mend the chicken salad Italian in a wrap.

The best place to get a a Boston sausage

After 10 long years, it was nice to return back home for Thanksgiving to see that one of my staple places to get healthy food is still serving up the best and staff is wonderful 😃

We wauted 30 minutes for a pizza and sandwich. They said they didn't no where ee were. Must say when we finally got pizza it was good

Pizza is great, bread seemed old. Flavorless Mexican wrap, friendly staff.

I have had only two meals there and considered them both very good. I recommend Sam's for a try so that you can make up your own mind.

Not a bad little place although all I had was an Italian wrap but I was traveling for work seeing customers during a snow storm and it was there and I was hungry.

Love their rolls for sandwiches and the chicken salad was good too
